Following a landmark debut that cemented hypersonic festival as one of Australia’s most exciting new electronic music events, this year it’s back and ready to be bigger, bolder and louder than before.
Setting out to redefine multi-genre festivals in Australia, the festival brings a careful mix of current world superstars, future legends and first time to Australia music pioneers, ; and guiding the madness hosting will be MC Stretch, the legendary voice of Tomorrowland and Stereosonic.
As for the acts, attendees can expect global titans beginning with the inimitable Armin van Buuren: one of electronic music’s most influential artists who has been captivating audiences worldwide with his euphoric sound and legendary mainstage performances for decades. Expect also the Dutch electric powerhouse duo W&W, who will bring an explosive mainstage sound, high-energy performance and iconic festival anthems. Next up is Showtek: an artist known for their genre-spanning sound and legacy since the early 2000s, delivering hard-hitting EDM and electro-house anthems. Australian home-grown hero Timmy Trumpet will also be making an appearance with an undoubtedly enigmatic live performance, thanks to his signature trumpet sound and ecstatic instrumental tracks. Finally, Hybrid Minds are a liquid drum & bass duo that have become one of the genre’s most celebrated acts, renowned for their emotive, melodic sound and powerful, euphoric performances.
